Street fashion photography project

Lately I haven't had much time to keep my blog dated, it has once again been really busy at the university. I have really loved my new uni so far and the autumn has been great! I had really interesting history of art courses, such as pre-surrealistic postcard course, modern environmental and community art and modern Hongkong art course. I also participated a course of masculinity studies, which was quite interesting. I have also been studying Japanese!

There is still some deadlines to catch up, but I thought that I could share some pictures I recently received. I participated a make-up school and photography school's event where they designed make-up for lolita or visual kei -styled models and then, after some practice with the make-up, styled the models completely and photographer students took some amazing pictures.

My make-up was kind of wild, so the outcome was not very lolita, but it was absolutely artistic and extremely carefully made. They also did my hair, which I kind of love like that. >D

Pictures are taken/edited by Linda Rönnqvist
Hair and make-up Nyoko Candycotton and Iina

Blouse, skirt, headdress, socks: Moi-même-Moitié

The school held an art exhibition, in where the photographers chose three photos of each of their model. Here are my pictures:

Thank you for taking a look at this post. <3

New Vouge Children's giveaway

A friend of mine is having a giveaway in her blog, and you can win postcards (in where she herself poses as a christmassy-lolita-coord) and Meta's ribbons, so of course I have to participate.

Caramea's blog New Vogue Children is one of the few blogs that I actually follow, so if you haven't yet visited her blog do it now! It's very interesting and has high quality.

You can find the giveaway here and participate yourself. <3

Casual dressing

Hello again! University has started again and I'm quite busy with my studies, but I'll do my best and try to keep updating! What comes to the celebration of 100 readers... Well, still thinking!

I have been taking outfit pictures of some random and casual days, since I wanted to share some of my non-lolita style too. These are taken last summer, I will try to collect something like this from the following autumn as well.

I love otome, mori girl and gyaruish clothes but I don't think that any of my random outfits represent purely any of them. Hopefully I have managed to take some tips of those styles.

Dress and boots: Yumetenbo,
hat: H&M,
bag is random but please pay attention to the ancestor-Moomin keychain...

(We went to see Despicable me 2 with bf!)

Knit: Cecil McBee,
skirt: Bodyline,
leggings: Accessorize,
hat: H&M,
shoes: Deary (from Yumetenbo).

Overalls: second-hand,
bag: Metamorphose,
hair roses: H&M,
shoes: Bodyline
rest is random.

Skirt: Sweet&Sweet,
shoes: Melissa,

socks: Jane Marple,
shoes: Deary.

Conclsion: I buy my hats and hair roses from H&M and use too much Deary's shoes and the ancestor-Moomin bag. <3

Picture post

First of all, wowww! I have over 100 readers! I'm confused and happy, thank you for your interest so much! Maybe I should celebrate? I have considered a give-away of some kind, but not sure how many would be interested. I'll definitely have to come up with some sort of celebration.

But thank youuuuu. I'm so happy. <3

But now, to the actual theme of the post:

Toni decided to celebrate his birthday so he held a picnic meet up some time ago! Sanni took amazing pictures and was kind to let me share them. For more pictures see her blog.

The dress I'm wearing is the first lolita dress I ever bought! So that makes it quite old. But I still love it!

I've really started to prefer going out more natural, so once again there is very little make-up and simple hairdo! It's so much more easier during the summer (and I've gotten lazy). I miss my gothic outfits, though...

I also made my friend Anni come to the meeting with me. She doesn't wear lolita so I let her take a look at my closet and choose any dress of her liking. She ended up choosing Baby's Cherry Ribbon.

My outfit:
Dress: Anna House,
shoes: Deary (from Yumetenbo),
stockings and jewellery: Accessorize,
hair roses: H&M

Anni's outfit:
Dress: Baby, the Stars Shine Bright,
blouse: Anna House
mini-hat: made by a friend
socks: Baby, the Stars Shine Bright

Parasol is borrowed from Sanni.

(Oh lord I'm not wearing a blouse with my jsk!!1)

Thank you for taking a look!

Lolita picnic

Evanee arranged a meet-up some time ago! We had a lovely picnic in Kaisaniemi park. Luckily the weather was amazing, even if we saw some dark clouds... Anyway, all the participants were so beautifully dressed and it was nice to meet new persons as well as to meet some older friends.

A group photo!

I've been trying to do my own hair more often than wearing a wig, since it's so hot that my head would probably melt if I had an extra layer of hair. Also, I want to use my Aatp dress as much as I can right now, since it's quite summery!

My outfit:

Dress Alice and the Pirates,
hair roses from H&M,
mustache necklace a gift from bf,
lace leggings from Accessorize,
shoes Deary (Yumetenbo)

Some pictures I took:

Lovely Lume
Momochuu being cute

Xiner found a huge stuffed elephant

Enjoying the sun!

I really want to attend in to another meetup soon, it was a really lovely day. <3

Korkeasaari zoo

Bf and I went to Korkeasaari zoo the other day. I haven't visited since I was a kid, so it was a lot smaller than what I remembered. :'D Still, we did quite a lot of walking! It was a pretty warm day so the animals were quite exhausted and most of the bigger animals were out of sight. But we managed to see a tiger!

Outfit of the day:

Dress: Innocent World, rest is random.

Some pictures I took:

The bear was swimming around eating apples. It seemed quite pleased.

Once I went in to a circus and rode a camel..

Not so exotic but they were cute. :D

The peacocks were walking around in the crowd.
It was quite impossible to even try to take pictures of any other animals since it was very crowdy (little children everywhere!) but I have to say that my favourites were pygmy marmosets and other little monkeys! *-* Here's a video for cuteness overloads:

New dress and some decoration

Hello again! <3 Some time ago I sold my first skirt I ever bought from Baby (it was heart-breaking) and realized that it was the only blue coloured lolita item I had! So I found Baby's Cherry Ribbon from Closet Child. It's the dress I have been wanting for years and now that I even found it on blue... Well, you can guess the rest.

Went to buy some tea to get an excuse to wear the dress for the first time. <3

I love the text in the hem!

Dress is Baby, the Stars Shine Bright, blouse Dear Celine, shoes Double Decker and rest is random. I'm not entirely satisfied with the fist coord, and I feel like I made a better one later, but didn't realize to take a picture. :'D

Also, did a little more shopping:

I think they're brilliant.

Since bf and I are moving in together we have been working on a little decoration with the apartment. We took a flea-market and Hemtex's sale tour and found all kind of lovely stuff. <3

Old-fashioned phone bench. I keep my jewelry box and perfumes on top of it, the guitar is bf's.
The cutest jewelry box ever

I was told that there are too many roses. xD
I collect art cards and always buy one or two after seeing an art exhibition.

Mostly Finnish golden age artists
A little more playful collage, modern art but also Michelangelo and some Pokémon fan-art..:D
Saved the best for the last, I found this perfect oil-painting from the flea-market!

It's quite large, even

I don't know the artist (it has not been signed) but I love the composition so much! The technique, theme, colours, and every little detail!

The decoration is still a little unfinished, but I'll post some better pictures once it's done!

Thank you for taking a look at this post!

Ice-cream bar

Mari invited us to her home for hanging out and eating a huge amount of ice-cream! Almost all the guests brought ice-cream, so in the end, we couldn't finish it all...

One of the servings I ate :D
Luckily we also had some dried brown-bread snacks with cucumber and cherry-tomatoes, which were super delicious!

Mari had grown the parsley and basil by herself.

It was a lovely day so we took some pictures outside!

My outfit:

I prefer to have plenty of piercings in my ear, now it's 9 in total. Planning on taking few more after the summer. :D

Dress: hand-made
socks: Moi-même-Moitié
shoes: Deary (from Yumetenbo)
hair roses from H&M
pearls second-hand, rest is random.

Also some group photos:

Mimi and I

Thank you Kata for taking the picture!
Thank you for reading this post. <3

P.s. This has nothing to do with the post, but I just wanted to tell that I got in University of Helsinki! I'll continue to study history of art there. <3
